FET #1 Cycle

So right now I am in my first FET cycle since my IVF #1 failed.  I have been on vivelle patches 2x a day since 8/2.  I am tentatively scheduled to have my embryo transfer on 8/28.  My next office visit is on 8/21 to check my lining and if everything is ok I will start progesterone suppositories for 5 days.

How exciting! How many embryos do they recommend transferring?

Good luck — we’re about to start our second fresh cycle. I was a little intimidated buy the FET protocol, so I figured (given our last experience) it wouldn’t hurt to have a few more frozen embryos for another rainy (babyless) day.

You were really intimidated? The FET has been the easiest probably too easy for me…it has been vivelle patches until my lining is thick enough then I start progesterone for 5 days until the transfer…it def wont hurt to have more frozen embryos…my RE said a reason why my fresh could have failed was that maybe my e2 level was too high or sometimes your uterus does not “like” all the hormones…it could have been that or just plain (un)luck…wishing you the best this cycle!!!
